The Ramones

Ramones was a punk band formed in Forest Hills, in the district of Queens, New York, United States, in the year 1974.
Pioneers and leaders of the nascent punk rock, cemented the foundation of this genre of music compositions with simple, minimalist and repetitive lyrics and simple or even mindless. The long guitar solos, the complex songs of his enigmatics progressive rock and letters. Their sound is characterized by fast and direct, with influences of rockabilly 1950.
Ramones led the first wave of punk in New York.
As one the most important bands in the history of rock, its influence if felt in almost all the formations of post punk.
Throughout his career, the Ramones relased fourteen studio albums and several compilations and live CSs, making a total of twnty-one albums. Despite his current fame, the group only got a gold disc thanks to record Romonesmania in 1988, and only two of their albums achieved over the top 50 on the Billboards U.S. .
The band disbanded in 1996, after completing the last show of his world tour in Argentina and then withdrawn al the Lollapalooza festival. Three of its four original members ( Joey Ramone,
Johnny Ramone and Dee Ramone ) dided in an interval of eight years since the demised of the band. In 2002 the group was included in the Rock & Roll of Fame.
